Family Office Accounting Internship – Summer 2027 – San Jose | Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLPThe Tone:
This is an internship at Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP, located in San Jose, CA. Frank, Rimerman is a firm consistently recognized as a “Best Place to Work” that offers financial management and accounting services to ultra-high net worth individuals and their related family entities through its growing Family Office practice. This role provides an opportunity to gain insight into complex Silicon Valley clients, jump starting the technical, professional, leadership, and interpersonal skills essential for a successful career.

- Team:
Interns work in small teams alongside the Family Office department. - Mission:
Provide financial management and accounting services customized to fit the needs and objectives of ultra-high net worth individuals and their family entities. - Tech Stack:
Accounting systems
- Process AP for multiple clients using various accounting systems.
- Reconcile vendor statements and actively research any identified discrepancies.
- Categorize bank and credit card transactions, accurately recording corresponding journal entries.
- Prepare comprehensive bank reconciliations and investigate any unusual items.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial information, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
- Background:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s program with an accounting concentration;
Entry‑Level. - Experience:
Completion of at least one accounting course to be considered for an interview, with a minimum of three accounting courses completed prior to the internship program. Final graduation date with academic requirements for California CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and July 2028. - Skills:
Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication; detail‑oriented; enjoys solving problems; capable of working on multiple engagements. - Bonus:
Minimum GPA of 3.2, with “B” grades or above in accounting courses and a higher major GPA preferred.
