  • Manage banking relationships and assist with insurance, tax and other external financial relationships as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local requirements
  • Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability
  • Support system implementations and technology improvements as the organization grows
  • Recruit, develop and mentor accounting team members
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives alongside executive leadership
What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation along with the business judgment and communication skills necessary to operate as a trusted partner to leadership.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Progressive accounting experience with previous Controller, Assistant Controller or comparable accounting leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated ownership of the month-end and year-end close process
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices
  • Experience managing and developing an accounting team
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial executives and operational leaders
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on accounting work
