Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing team in San Jose, California. This position focuses on maintaining accurate payment records, supporting timely invoice handling, and helping keep daily accounting operations organized. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and confidence working in a manufacturing environment using Quick Books Desktop.

Responsibilities include:

reviewing incoming vendor invoices, assigning correct general ledger codes, and preparing documentation for accurate entry into the accounts payable process. Efficiently process a high volume of invoices while confirming amounts, purchase order details, and supporting records are complete and accurate. Perform three-way matching by comparing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving information before submitting payments for approval. Coordinate recurring and scheduled check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time and according to company procedures.

Maintain organized payment and invoice records, resolving discrepancies with internal teams and external suppliers as needed. Use Quick Books Desktop to enter transactions, update payable data, and support accurate financial reporting. Assist with accounts payable activities related to manufacturing operations, including verifying vendor charges tied to materials or production support services.
