Part-Time: Administrative Assistant, Five Wounds Portuguese National Church

Position Summary

Five Wounds Portuguese National Church is seeking a dynamic, experienced professional to serve as an administrative assistant in the Parish office. The administrative assistant ensures the efficient operations of the Parish office and supports the work of the Parish Administrator and Parish staff

• Maintain Parish calendar; schedule Baptisms, Funerals, Weddings, Quinceaneras, and Parish events.
• Meet with families of sacrament candidates to explain requirements per diocesan guidelines
• Prepare sacrament and Quincenera files, ensuring that all required documentation is secured in a timely manner and that fees are paid.
• Maintain file archives
• Maintain the Parish Soft database
• Maintain volunteer files and safe environment documentation in compliance with Diocesan regulations
• Prepare sacrament certificates
• Work effectively with Parish councils pastoral and liturgical and provide administrative support as necessary
• Prepare communication that supports the work of the Parish Administrator and Parish, i.e. thank you notes and external correspondence
• Prepare stipend summaries
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher (or similar)
• Other duties, as assigned

$21.00 - $28.00/hour

(29 hours/week), non-exempt position, compensation commensurate with experience and diocesan guidelines
