Calendar and compensation $45,803.55 - $64,451.01, CSEA Range 4.2, 217 day work calendar, 11 months, 8 hours per day. Generous health benefit options, including plans that require no employee contribution for full family coverage. Eligible for bilingual (Spanish) signing incentive and monthly stipend upon passing a test of Spanish fluency.
General Description:
Under general supervision, has responsibility for the services of the school health office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers first aid and gives health advice to students.
- Maintains records of health problems, accidents, and insurance.
- Compiles health information and prepares reports.
- Refers students to sources of health aid.
- May transport an injured or ill student to a medical facility or home.
- Calls emergency equipment if needed.
- Administers Snellen vision tests.
- Keeps the student health center clean and sanitary and maintains a record of the health supplies.
- Types a variety of bulletins and letters.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
- Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Minimum of one year general clerical experience, preferably including experience in health services.
- Knowledge of first aid practices, office methods, procedures and equipment.
- Ability to compile and maintain accurate and complete records and reports; type with speed and accuracy at net 45 wpm, understand and follow oral and written directions; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
- Must possess a current American Red Cross standard first aid certificate.

Frequent contacts with students, staff, parents, and the public.
