Strategic Sourcing Manager

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

• Drive RFx and Supplier Selection process with key stakeholders
• Negotiate best-in-class value through thorough cost negotiation
• Close contract negotiations to support a successful transition into production
• Manage business relationships to develop productive partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with cross-functional leaders to continuously evolve policies and procedures, enhancing organizational value and efficiency
• Travel: 20%

• BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, or MBA/MS and 5+ years of experience
• Automotive or Aerospace cost negotiation expertise
• In-depth knowledge of high-volume supply contracts
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and highly-regulated environment
• Strong executive communication and internal/external negotiation skills
• Ability to cut through ambiguity and detail limitations to make concrete and sound decisions
• An insatiable curiosity and a keen attention to detail
• Solid analytical and computer skills (excel/sheets, word/docs, power point/slides)

• Training in presentation and communication skills
• APICS Certification

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s strategy. For this position, we are targeting a base pay range of $130,800 - $155,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
