Strategist

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Work Location Strategist for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This is a hybrid role.

• Work Location Strategy Development & Planning
  • Partner with me to support development of work location strategies aligned to business growth, workforce planning, and organizational priorities.
  • Analyze portfolio, utilization trends, and business requirements to inform recommendations.
  • Support development of business cases, financial analyses, and ROI projections for location decisions.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs associated with location strategy decisions.
• Strategy Execution & Project Management
  • Lead day-to-day execution of approved work location strategy initiatives, (strategic location recommendations and POV's)
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Track milestones and cross-functional deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Facilitate planning workshops and stakeholder working sessions to gather requirements and validate assumptions.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials for governance reviews and decision forums.
• Change & Implementation Support
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed, prepared, and aligned throughout execution.

• Strong project and program management skills with experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to translate mass quantities of data into a strategic recommendation.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with comfort interpreting data and supporting business cases.
• Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholders and functional teams.
• Skilled at facilitating discussions and driving alignment.
• Proactive in identifying risks and resolving issues.
• Minimum Education (Baseline Expectation) - Bachelor's degree required, typically in:
  Business Administration, Organizational Strategy, Real Estate / Facilities / Workplace Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in workplace strategy, location strategy or other strategic role in real estate.
• Experience supporting portfolio planning, location strategy, or workplace transformation initiatives preferred.
• Familiarity with governance processes and executive-level reporting a plus.
