Connections Director

Pay Range: $32-40/HR

West Gate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church situated in one of the most diverse and influential regions of the world—the Silicon Valley—is seeking an energetic and relational Connections Director to lead West Gate's Midsize and Meetup ministry environments. This part-time role (Sunday–Thursday) may require occasional work on Fridays, Saturdays, and evenings, providing leadership and coordination for Midsize and Meetup ministries that help people connect into community and take next steps in their discipleship journey.

PART-TIME (25 HOURS A WEEK)

• Passionate Jesus follower, actively learning and living the way of Jesus: loving God, neighbor, and one another.
• Understanding of and alignment with West Gate's theology, vision, and values, using them as a filter for decisions.

• 3 year minimum of ministry experience
• Positive, professional, self-starter with the ability to organize, adjust, and prioritize responsibilities and projects with minimal direction
• Lead teams and leaders with clear vision, direction and care
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality, handling situations with discretion, diplomacy, and tact
• Exhibits personal and professional discernment and discretion
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Highly organized with the capability to execute logistics for large-scale projects overseen by the Formation Pastor
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) for collaboration and document management
• Superior communication skills: written and verbal

• Lead West Gate's Meetup ministry, ensuring every event is welcoming, well executed, and connected to the discipleship pathway.
• Recruit, train, and support Meetup leaders in partnership with the XP of Formation (empower leaders with vision and a CTA).
• Own leader communication, including pre-event timelines, resources, and follow‑up.
• Coordinate 90 on‑and off‑site Meetup events annually, including logistics, curriculum, food, supplies, and room setup.
• Collaborate with Campus Pastors, Ministry Leaders, Communications, and Campus Operations to promote and execute Meetup events.
• Support Discipleship and Formation initiatives and special events.
• Maintain accurate pathway engagement records.
• Participate in team and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

(5-7 hours Sunday + 2-5 hours weekday: 7-12 total hours per week)

• Lead the Guest Experience Team to create a welcoming Sunday environment.
• Schedule serve teams, maintain supplies, and prepare the lobby for weekend services.
• Recruit, train, and develop Guest Experience volunteers.
• Support the Congregational Pastor with special services (Compassion Sundays, Baptisms, Easter, Christmas, etc.).
• Coordinate logistics for Start Here and Become Family, including room setup, hospitality, and food.
• Partner with staff and volunteers to support the mission and ministries of West Gate Church.
