Director Strategic Business Development – Silicon Valley Innovation Center

We are looking for a visionary leader to shape strategy, refine processes, and implement initiatives that empower the business to thrive.

• Hunting Zone Execution – analyze corporate aligned hunting zones, develop growth plans, identify $100M opportunities, and build execution strategy including near‑term growth potentials and long‑term venture programs.
• Run Venture Programs – for $100M growth hypothesis, run proof of concepts to validate potential, gain customer traction, and secure internal R&D and business line support.
• Build Partnerships – meet with senior‑level customers to discover, understand, and confirm key opportunities.
• Internal and external partnership building – collaborate with key accounts and startups to create proof of concepts and business arrangements to transition ideas to product roadmap.

• Engineering or Physics degree with understanding of semiconductor devices (sensors, power devices, microcontrollers…) and how new capabilities impact system solutions.
• Proven marketing ability – ability to explore a topic, meet customers, identify opportunities, build a business plan, execution strategy, and define a proof of concept.
• Proven business development/deal making – ability to sell ideas to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, securing NREs and JDAs.
• Program management – structure and run proof of concepts until adoption by a relevant Infineon Business Line.
• Broad professional experience – multiple roles across functions (FAE, Sales, Business Development, Strategy) with technical background.
• Innovative venture spirit – curiosity, brainstorming, and ability to launch efforts for quick validation and scaling.

San Jose, CA – Salary range: $218,600 – $300,600 per year, plus incentive plan participation.
