The Role

We are seeking an experienced Public Works Superintendent to lead and manage multiple active infrastructure projects in the field. This role focuses on pump stations, sewer, storm, and water pipeline work across the Bay Area.

The ideal candidate meets the minimum requirements (see below), is a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented leader who is comfortable running several projects at once, coordinating with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and owners, and keeping work on track, safe, and high quality.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the construction and installation of infrastructure systems, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion
  • Manage on‑site activities, including supervising construction crews and subcontractors
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and environmental requirements are met
  • Conduct site inspections and provide feedback to improve efficiency and address any safety concerns
  • Resolve field or personnel issues before they become project delays
  • Review and approve daily field reports and documentation
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sewer, water, storm, or pipelines
  • Experience working for a contractor as a Superintendent on multiple projects at the same time
  • BSCE or BSCM preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time with strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
