Job Title: Project Manager - HVAC
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay Range: $,000+ Bonus
Manpower is partnering with a growing, well-established mechanical contractor to hire a Commercial HVAC Project Manager
.
This is a high-impact role supporting large-scale commercial projects
, including data centers, healthcare facilities, corporate campuses, and educational buildings
.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in HVAC/mechanical construction
, is comfortable in design-build environments
, and can confidently manage projects from preconstruction through execution
.
- Manage the full lifecycle of commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects
- Lead day-to-day project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
- Perform estimating, proposal development, and scope definition for new opportunities
- Participate in design-build collaboration
, including conceptual design input - Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, construction, purchasing, and accounting
- Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Manage project financials, including budget forecasting and cost controls
- Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, proposals, and project documentation
- Ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and profitability targets
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing construction
- Strong background in:
- Design-build project environments
- Estimating and project costing (non-negotiable)
- Experience managing tenant improvement and/or ground-up construction projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across GCs, clients, and internal teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field
- Experience working on:
- Data centers
- Healthcare or large commercial facilities
- Background with union environments or mechanical contractors
- Advanced education (MBA/PE) a plus, but not required
