Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure contractors understand and acknowledge project-specific EHS requirements.

Conduct safety orientations for all new workers and ensure they are familiar with site-specific rules and procedures.

Consult daily with the Superintendent regarding coordination of safety activities and High Risk Work Permits.

Review contractor safety plans for compliance with client and internal EHS requirements.

Assist in the review of daily Safe Plan of Action (SPA) documents prepared by subcontractors and verify that their quality, content, and communication are appropriate for the described tasks.

Ensure contractor compliance with the project safety plan, including safety submittals, training records, equipment inspections, and all related documentation.

Educate and advise the project team on safety guidelines and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable State, Federal, and Local regulations as well as client requirements.

Inspect the job site regularly, identify hazards and unsafe conditions, and record observations in Procore.

Assist the Superintendent in managing the Safety Observation Report (SOR) program and other field safety initiatives.

Administer safety incentive programs to encourage and reinforce safe behaviors and practices on site.

Investigate all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and complete all required paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.

Maintain comprehensive safety documentation and records for the project, including safety plans, Toolbox Talks, Chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS), safety inspections, permits, and any other safety-related records generated on the project.

Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to integrate safety into planning and execution and to address safety issues promptly.

Travel to client sites as required, including potential extended assignments of 1-2 years at a specific client location.

Adhere to client site safety rules and ensure that all project personnel follow site-specific safety training and requirements.

Perform other safety-related duties as assigned to support overall project and organizational safety objectives.

Essential Skills

OSHA 30-hour safety training (OSHA 30) or equivalent construction safety credential.

Demonstrated experience administering EHS programs on active construction sites.

Strong knowledge of State, Federal, and Local safety regulations and their application to construction and industrial environments.

Ability to conduct jobsite inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.

Experience reviewing contractor safety plans and Safe Plan of Action (SPA) documents.

Ability to educate and advise project teams on safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Proficiency in documenting safety observations and maintaining safety records, including use of tools such as Procore or similar project management platforms.
