Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial and residential projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate combines hands-on construction knowledge with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors and trades.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards.
• Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to verify work is performed to design and quality requirements.
• Manage project schedules and milestones, proactively identifying and resolving delays or conflicts to keep work on track.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, owners, and clients to communicate progress, changes, and issues.
• Supervise quality control processes, perform punch lists, and ensure finished work meets project standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate site documentation including daily logs, progress reports, RFIs, change orders, and material deliveries.
• Control site costs by monitoring labor, materials, and equipment usage; support project budgeting and change management.
• Mentor and lead on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative, productive, and professional work environment.
• Facilitate commissioning, turnover, and close-out activities, ensuring all testing, warranties, and documentation are complete.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role on commercial projects, residential projects are a nice-to-have.
• Proven knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and best practices for both commercial and residential construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising subcontractors and on-site crews.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with stakeholders, clients, and project teams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with construction scheduling and documentation tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Plan Grid) and Microsoft Office.
• Relevant certifications preferred: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and trade-specific licenses as applicable.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between job sites as required.
• Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and results-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
