Operations Manager
We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team in San Jose, CA. This fully on-site role will oversee the construction of installation projects nationwide and assist with bidding, selection, and preconstruction processes.
Responsibilities- Execute multiple simultaneous projects through preconstruction and construction phases.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing bidding documents, including construction contracts, pre‑bid conference agendas, and letters of recommendation to award.
- Lead pre‑bid conference and bid opening meetings.
- Prepare and review construction documents, including pre‑construction conference agendas, notice to proceed, construction status meeting agendas, field orders, change orders, substantial completion punch lists, final completion punch lists, and certificates of completion.
- Lead pre‑construction conferences and regular construction status meetings with clients and contractors.
- Collaboratively solve unique construction problems that arise during the course of construction.
- Thrive on performing and solving problems with minimal supervision.
- Be fully knowledgeable of company standards, plans, and specifications; capable of interpreting project plans and supervising other technical and non‑technical staff.
- Manage schedules on projects performed by contracted parties.
- Demonstrate familiarity with various common project conditions, problems encountered in assignments, and proper procedures for rectification.
- Complete constructability reviews of plans and specifications, ensuring conformance to best practices during the design phase of work for projects.
- Prepare bid forms with quantity take‑offs during the design phase to prepare projects for bidding.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or B.S. in Construction Management and 6+ years of progressive experience in construction management field.
- Detail oriented with a tendency to adhere to established procedures.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, interact, and complete duties on schedule.
- Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Practical experience in project management, task management, follow‑up, and follow‑through.
- Practical experience in cost estimating.
- Ability to articulate technical skills and ideas both visually and contextually.
- Self‑starter and results‑oriented.
