The Project Manager is a full‑time role responsible for the sales, leadership, and day‑to‑day management of HVAC and plumbing construction projects. As the single point of responsibility to the customer, you will lead cross‑departmental efforts—including engineering, purchasing, accounting, construction, and service—to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to specification. The role includes promoting and finalizing sales (estimating, conceptual design, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations), preparing and controlling budgets, managing trade execution, producing required project documentation, and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships throughout project delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage daily project operations, scope, schedule, and execution of trade work.
- Lead and coordinate engineering, purchasing, accounting, construction, and service activities for assigned projects.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, contracts, and support sales activities including negotiations and presentations.
- Develop and maintain project budgets; monitor costs and implement corrective actions to meet profitability goals.
- Produce and manage project documentation (letters, memos, change orders, closeout packages) and ensure sound business/legal procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.
- 5+ years’ experience managing HVAC and/or plumbing construction projects or equivalent experience in estimating, design, and project management for projects ranging $50k–$25M+.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required; MBA or PE license is a strong plus.
- Proven experience in estimating, proposal writing, contract negotiations, budgeting, and cost control.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and project‑management skills; able to manage high‑volume issues across teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
