Summary:We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong foundation in commercial construction and a passion for learning fast-track, design build project environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager role quickly, while gaining firsthand experience managing field coordination, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation on high-volume QSR, retail, and ground up construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and executing QSR, retail, and ground up design build projects
- Manage submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and field documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and consultants to ensure compliance with project specs and design build requirements
- Track schedules, procurement logs, and budgets to support project delivery timelines
- Participate in preconstruction planning, job walks, and field coordination meetings
- Ensure document control and reporting procedures are followed across all project phases
- Assist in creating and updating project schedules and look-aheads
- Help manage safety documentation and ensure site safety compliance
- Proactively identify project risks or issues and communicate solutions to the team
- 2 to 6 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to QSR, retail, or ground up new construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Excel
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Eagerness to grow into a leadership role and take on increased responsibility
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask across multiple project priorities and fast-paced delivery schedules
