Jacobs Project Management Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Professional to work in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct weekly field visits to rail construction sites, generate Structural, Mechanical and Electrical quantity tracking logs, and calculate crew production rates. Perform field work quality control assessments regularly and during commissioning punch list walks, per contract drawings and specifications. Compare actual field construction progress to Contractor's planned schedule. Analyze the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule using Primavera
6. Review monthly Contractor Payment Application and work with Project Manager to identify cost control measures based on project budgets.

Review Contractor Submittals, Requests for Technical Information (RFIs), Test Reports and other technical documents. Conduct change impact analysis and assist in writing Change Order Documents. Coordinate between multiple ongoing rail/infrastructure construction projects. Coordinate with Owner and Contractor and provide weekly updates during internal and external meetings. Support Project Manager with a wide range of project related tasks, deliverables and documentation.

Hybrid schedule is allowed.

TRAVEL:
Domestic travel to visit project sites, varies from project to project:
The position requires up to 50% domestic travel to project sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. Travel is required to support project construction activities, including attending on-site coordination meetings with clients and subcontractors, performing field and site observations, evaluating construction progress, and collaborating with project teams and clients as required.

REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires a Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related engineering field.

SPECIFIC

SKILLS:

Expertise/ knowledge of:
Scheduling using Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project software. Cost Estimating and Quantity Take-off based on 2D drawings and 3D models. Project Budgeting, Cost control and Payment Application Verification. Ability to Review Constructability, Testing and Commissioning Submittals, Requests for Technical Information (RFIs) and other technical documents. Writing Progress reports, Change Documents and other project-related documentation.
