Job Summary
A leading electrical contractor in Ventura County is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Clarita, CA. This role is ideal for a seasoned estimating professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex commercial and industrial electrical construction bids from early conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission.
The Electrical Estimator will support high-profile projects across Southern California, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and institutional facilities. This position offers visibility with executive leadership, the opportunity to mentor junior estimators, and the chance to contribute directly to project wins, profitability, and continued company growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and institutional construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to develop complete proposal packages.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop conceptual budgets, value engineering options, negotiated proposals, hard bids, and design-build estimates.
- Analyze project risks, constructability, schedules, scope gaps, and bid strategy to support profitable project awards.
- Partner with project managers, field operations, leadership, clients, general contractors, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the estimating and handoff process.

- Salary range: $125,000 to $180,000 per year.
