AI Creative Designer; Effect - Design; San Jose

About the Team Tik Tok  Design Team is dedicated to delivering first-class user experiences for hundreds of millions of users worldwide. We empower people to create and express freely, discover the diversity and beauty of the world, and build bridges across cultures and communities. We are a global, multidisciplinary design team made up of Product Designers, Creative Designers, Visual Designers, Content Designers, and Localization Experts.

We work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations partners to turn complex challenges into intuitive, delightful experiences ponsibilities :

• Own creative concepts and execution for visual and motion design, with a strong focus on effects, animations, and graphic systems.
• Design and iterate on 2D visuals, motion graphics, and effects assets used across Tik Tok product surfaces and creative campaigns.
• Use user feedback and performance metrics to refine visual quality, motion behavior, and engagement impact.
• Apply AI-powered tools to support ideation, visual exploration, animation concepts, and effects prototyping.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in design or a related field.
• Professional experience in visual, motion, creative, or effects-focused design.
• Strong skills in graphic design and animation, with hands-on experience using tools such as Figma and motion / effects tools.
• Experience or strong interest in using AI tools to enhance visual creation, animation workflows, or effects design. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing effects, animations, or motion systems for consumer-facing or global products.
• Understanding of global visual styles, trends, and cultural aesthetics.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative, and highly collaborative environment.
