Job Position: Registered Dental Hygienist (Part-Time Position).

Our General Practice is looking for a Dental Hygienist to work on Mondays or Wednesdays, 8:30-5:30 PM.

Job Details:

• Our office is fully COVID-19 ready, and we have face shields that fit loops.
• We will provide all the PPE that you will need.

• The RDH needs to have a current RDH and CPR license.
• Reliable and able to build trust and communicate with patients of all ages.
• Should have deep knowledge of oral health and know the signs of oral disease and pathology.
• Should know how to correctly follow sterilization protocols and room breakdown.
• Be able to educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal disease.
• Need to have good documentation records.
• Also, need to know Dentrix software.
• Knowledge of Intra-oral scanning is a plus.
• Knowledge of Laser is a plus.

• Using dental instruments to clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
• Looking for indications of oral cancer by feeling lymph nodes under patient's chins for signs of tenderness or swelling.
• Noting and reviewing patient's medical history.
• Using probes to examine and locate periodontal recessed gums and other signs of gum disease.
• Recording dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentists.
• Maintaining dental equipment and X-ray machine.
• Taking digital X-rays and Panoramic.
• Feeling and visually examining gums for signs of disease, sores, and other dental health issues.
• Sharpening and sterilizing dental instruments.
• Promoting preventative dental care to improve patient oral health care.
• Applying fluorides and other dental decay preventing agents.
• Working with dentists and dental assistants.
• Maintaining a dental hygiene program for patients.
