As the window of Tik Tok's business services, our Tik Tok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. As a team member here, you will be able to utilize mixed methods to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet business needs.

Our core design team includes researchers, product designers, and UX writers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work with collaborative cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities.

• Own the end-to-end design of internal tools and platforms that enable Tik Tok global employees to accomplish their goals efficiently and productively in a smooth manner.
• Own every aspect of a product's design, from solving the core user challenge to shipping a well-tested and pixel-perfect UI.
• Before designing anything, familiarize yourself with the core problem you are solving and all user goals.
• Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to build confidence in a solution.
• Design high-fidelity UI and UX specs to clearly communicate requirements to your team's engineers.
• Help make high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product team.
• Contribute design thinking skills to other areas of the platform (Research, Marketing, product education, customer success, etc.).
• Mentor by heart, supporting junior or mid-level designers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experienced in designing and shipping end-to-end products involving deep technical domains, complex flows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
• Proven ability to empathize with and develop solutions for professional users, including Sales, Data Scientists, Client Success Engineers, and more.
• Ability to provide design variations and rationalize design choices.
• Ability to organize and communicate thoughts and motivations with different audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product design settings.
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
• Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision.
• Willing to adapt and contribute to design system; working closely with engineers to build components that fit into a larger component library/style guide.
• Love to discuss design in group settings; participate in design critiques and reviews.
• Experienced or interested in data visualization.
