Interior Designer – San Jose
We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our dynamic studio in San Jose. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring high‑performance, community‑first design to life.
What You'll Do- Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.
- Assist Project Managers, Project Designers, and Design Coordinators in the execution of specific assignments.
- Prepare presentations and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents.
- Conduct research on product and construction methods related to projects.
- Attend construction meetings and field visits to further understand detailing and coordination.
- Mentorship from Managing Directors, Design Directors, and senior team members across disciplines.
- Career development support, including licensure incentives, professional development grants, and in‑house training.
- Ongoing education through LPA+U courses and Tech Talks focused on innovative, sustainable practices.
- 8 paid hours of volunteer time each year.
- Opportunities to propose and lead projects that impact the local community, including community‑building initiatives, scholarships, and pro bono projects.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture required.
- 2–5 years of experience in all phases of interior architecture projects.
- Experience in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
