ResponsibilitiesAbout the team
TikTok's Monetization Products organization sits within Tik Tok for Business. Our mission is to build intuitive, scalable ad experiences that foster meaningful connections between businesses and people. We're doing this at a moment when AI is reshaping how products get built — and where content design can have more influence on product decisions than ever.
We're looking for a Content Designer who thinks in systems, moves fast, and is genuinely excited about working at the intersection of UX and emerging AI tools. You'll shape UX strategy, craft content experiences that meet advertiser needs, and help define what great content design looks like in an AI-native product environment.
- Execute content design and UX writing while embedded in monetization product work streams.
- Craft, proofread, and edit concise, conversational UI copy that makes complex ad tech feel simple and human
- Contribute to and evolve Tik Tok Monetization's content, voice, and style guidelines
- Collaborate with and influence design, product, research, and marketing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Participate in design critiques to drive consistency and quality across monetization products
- Define efficient, scalable solutions for large-scale content problems — including tooling and process improvements
- Contribute to the team's AI toolkit: designing custom GPTs, building prompt frameworks, and identifying new ways AI can accelerate and enhance content design work
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of content design or UX writing experience for web or mobile applications
- Experience collaborating with product, design, research, engineering, and localization teams
- Curiosity and fluency with AI tools as part of your everyday content design workflow
- Comfort working in — or directly alongside — the codebase (string edits, localization pipelines, etc.)
- A portfolio that includes but is not limited to: user interface copy, microcopy, user education, CD systems work, 0->1 projects, and self-led initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience
- Ad tech experience — not required, but a plus
- A systems mindset: you see tooling gaps and content infrastructure opportunities, not just individual copy tasks
- Ability to spot A/B content testing opportunities and partner with stakeholders to partner on tests, from concept to launch
