Architectural Building Designer

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Architectural Building Designer specializing in Commercial and Multi-Family Residential projects. In this role, you will drive the conceptualization, development, and execution of architectural designs that blend functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal. Develop comprehensive architectural designs for commercial and multi-family residential developments, integrating sustainable practices and accessibility regulations.

Create detailed construction drawings, construction detail documentation, and building information modeling (BIM) using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and Rhino 3D.

Utilize 3D modeling tools like Sketch Up, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to produce realistic renderings and visualizations that effectively communicate design intent.

Coordinate project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating to ensure timely delivery within scope and financial parameters.

Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs meet local building code compliance and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with clients during business development efforts by presenting design proposals, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term relationships.

Oversee construction management activities including construction accessibility regulations adherence, construction management coordination, and review of construction management plans.

Prepare detailed construction documentation for permits and contractor use while maintaining accuracy in drafting and CAD software outputs.

Support interior design aspects of projects when applicable, ensuring cohesive spatial planning that aligns with overall architectural vision.

Engage in project management tasks such as project scheduling, progress tracking, quality control inspections, and communication with stakeholders throughout all project phases.

Proven experience in architectural design for commercial buildings and multi-family residential developments with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative solutions.

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD; experience with BIM tools such as Navis Works is highly desirable.

Skilled in 3D modeling software like Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, Sketch Up; capable of producing high-quality renderings using Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software.

Familiarity with construction accessibility regulations, building code analysis, regulatory compliance standards, and construction detail documentation.

Strong negotiation skills for client presentations and contract discussions; experience supporting business development initiatives is a plus.

Ability to interpret complex building codes and translate them into practical design solutions while maintaining sustainability principles.

Construction experience including site visits, renovation projects, or interior design integration is preferred.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, clients, and consultants.
