California Miramar University (CalMU) is a nationally accredited, career-focused university offering online, hybrid, and on-ground programs in business and technology.
We are expanding our outreach efforts and seeking a High School and Community College Liaison to build strong educational partnerships and generate sustainable enrollment pipelines.
Position OverviewThis is a relationship-driven, field-facing role responsible for developing partnerships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, and administrators.
Success in this role requires initiative, strong communication skills, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to translate outreach efforts into measurable enrollment results.
This is not a passive advising role. The ideal candidate will actively build pipelines, manage territories, and track performance through data.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Development- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, and administrators
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned institutions
- Identify opportunities for articulation agreements, dual enrollment, and partnerships
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies
- Plan and host on-site and virtual events including college fairs, info sessions, workshops, and classroom visits
- Represent the university at community events and partner meetings
- Generate prospective student pipelines
- Serve as a resource for transfer pathways, admissions requirements, and program offerings
- Collaborate with Enrollment, Admissions, Marketing, and Academic teams
- Track outreach activity, leads, and outcomes within CRM
- Monitor applications and enrollment metrics
- Provide reporting and recommendations to leadership
- Adjust strategy based on performance data
- 2–3+ years of experience in:
Higher education admissions or enrollment;
High school or community college outreach;
Student recruitment or pipeline development;
Academic advising or counseling;
Community partnerships or external relations. - Preferred Experience:
Universities or colleges (public or private);
Community colleges or transfer offices;
Enrollment management or admissions; K–12 districts or charter networks;
College access programs (TRIO, Upward Bound, GEAR UP);
Workforce development or youth pipeline programs
- CRM systems (Salesforce, Hub Spot, Slate, Ellucian CRM, or equivalent)
- Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (basic reporting and tracking)
- PowerPoint or Google Slides
- Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Email and calendar management tools
- Strong relationship-building ability
- Confident public speaker
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Student-centered mindset
- Comfortable managing multiple schools and outreach initiatives
- Willing to travel locally and work occasional evenings or weekends
- Host 3–5 outreach events generating measurable leads
- Maintain accurate CRM tracking and reporting
- Contribute to pipeline growth aligned with enrollment goals
This role directly impacts enrollment growth and community engagement. You will have ownership of a defined territory and the opportunity to build lasting educational partnerships that support student success.
CompensationBase Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience and demonstrated performance.
