Student Supervision & Activities Lead

Luther Burbank School District is a unique, one-school Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade district located in the heart of midtown San Jose, California. Under the direction of the Superintendent-Principal or designee, the Student Supervision & Activities Lead coordinates campus supervision systems and develops engaging student activities that promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture. This position organizes structured recess and lunchtime activities, student leadership opportunities, clubs, assemblies, yearbook, school events, and other enrichment programs while supporting positive student behavior and connectedness. The role collaborates closely with administrators, teachers, yard supervisors, and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) staff to ensure effective campus supervision, student engagement, and successful implementation of student programs.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating supervision schedules, maintaining records and communications, and providing administrative support for ELOP and student services. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and passionate about creating meaningful opportunities that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Work Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break).

Benefits:
District pays 100% of Employee Only medical coverage (up to the Kaiser Traditional HMO High Plan rate) and up to 80% of Employee +1 and Employee +Family medical premiums. Employees covered under another qualifying group medical plan may elect a $4,000 annual cash-in-lieu benefit (or eligible tax-sheltered annuity contribution). Vacation leave accrues monthly.
