Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the assigned management and/or supervisory position, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of autistic, behaviorally disturbed, emotionally disturbed, visually handicapped and severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills. REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school and two years experience in working with school-age children in an organized setting, or equivalent. Must have A.A. Degree or 48 Semester College Units, or otherwise meets the requirements of No Child Left Behind (NCLB Certificate) Valid First Aid Certificate issued by Red Cross within six (6) months of employment.
