The impact you will have: As a Program Specialist in Special Education, you will play a critical role in strengthening services and supports for students with exceptional needs across the district. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support effective instructional programs, ensure compliance with special education requirements, and promote student growth and success. Through coaching, consultation, program development, and leadership in IEP processes, you will help create inclusive, supportive learning environments that meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students.

Who you are: You are a knowledgeable and collaborative special education leader who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. You bring deep expertise in special education programs, instructional practices, and compliance, along with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, families, and community partners. You are organized, solution-oriented, and committed to ensuring equitable, high-quality supports that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What you will need to apply:
- Four years of teaching experience in Special Education
- Resume and Letter of Introduction outlining desire and qualifications for this position
- Two (2) letters of reference from prior supervisors
- Transcripts of your undergraduate degree, and graduate degrees if applicable. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application purposes only.
- Test Results: please attach CSET results and evidence of meeting the Basic Skills Requirement, such as CBEST, PRAXIS, SAT or ACT results
- Education Specialist Mild Moderate Support Need | Mild/Moderate Credential including Autism Authorization or Extensive Support Need | Mod/Severe Credential - attachment should include document number assigned by the CTC. to see an example.
