Work Hours

Your typical schedule will be from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM (or 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM), but the exact hours will be tailored to meet the needs of our school and program, crafted in collaboration with our Directors.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • First Aid & CPR certification—up-to-date (we’ll provide if you don’t have it yet).
  • Prior experience working with children is recommended.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Run Study Hall classes: lead focused, quiet study sessions when needed, including touching base with students, communicating with teachers, and one‑on‑one check‑ins.
  • Supervise breaks, lunches, and after‑school: be friendly and vigilant, ensuring students are safe and supported during free time.
  • Lunchtime and after‑school fun: plan and run engaging activities that bring joy and build community.
  • Student development: oversee activities that contribute to the holistic development of each student, fostering growth and well‑being.
  • Behavior observation: monitor student behavior, assess situations, enforce safety regulations, and apply positive behavior management techniques.
  • Training: participate in required training to deepen your understanding of adolescent emotional and social needs.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements
  • People skills: excellent interpersonal skills to build strong, professional relationships with students, fellow staff, and coworkers.
  • Self‑motivation: proactive and driven, ready to take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Adaptability: able to juggle multiple tasks and scenarios.
  • Physical stamina: stand for 3 hours or more and walk school grounds.
  • Climate readiness: able to handle extremes in weather.
