Computer Teacher

Challenger School is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our California campuses as a computer teacher. Challenger uses computer programming to teach students to be independent, critical thinkers. As a computer teacher at Challenger, you will be responsible for teaching programming lessons in ways that support this goal. A proven programming curriculum is already in place and training will be provided.

This position may include teaching other elementary subjects, as needed.

We are currently hiring for our eight locations in the Bay Area.

• Thoroughly learn and deliver Challenger’s curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
• Prepare daily lesson plans
• Teach a variety of programming classes from 1 st to 8 th grade, according to campus needs
• Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkers

• 4-year college bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology
• Familiarity with programming languages, particularly Python
• Ability to pass a background check
