About This Role

This full‑time position is designed for recent graduates and junior‑level professionals passionate about education and eager to grow into future leaders in the industry. The successful candidate will work alongside our Silicon Valley teaching team while also focusing on the operational aspects of our business.

You will receive the resources to become a great math educator and provide world‑class teaching services to PreK‑9th graders of all levels. The role also offers experience in Think Academy’s business functions, including operations and marketing, and is ideal for those aiming to become branch directors, department managers, or part of the company’s global expansion.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds; prior teaching experience is not required. With the right mindset, this position will strengthen your teaching abilities and leadership competency, serving as a stepping stone toward your career goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Instruction & Classroom Delivery
    • Teach engaging, in‑person classes for elementary level mathematics (Grades 6‑8)
    • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and implement teaching methods with mentor support
    • Develop tailored mathematical learning plans for students based on their current abilities and goals, facilitating their enrollment in short‑term or long‑term courses
  • Student Progress & Learning Support
    • Monitor learning, provide individualized support, grade homework, and complete related teaching tasks
    • Develop personalized learning plans and recommend appropriate course pathways (short‑ or long‑term)
  • Family Communication & Partnership
    • Communicate proactively with parents/guardians, conduct conferences/meetings, and build supportive relationships with families
    • Build fulfilling and supportive relationships with students and their families
Schedule
  • Tuesday–Sunday, 40 hours/week total. Weekly hours and weekend teaching assignments may vary based on class needs; semester schedules are provided in advance.
  • Semester schedules provided in advance; one‑year commitment required (June 2026–June 2027).
Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong English, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred.
  • Passionate about teaching and the education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Available and willing to work in‑person for both weekdays and weekends.

  • Pay Structure:
    • Teaching‑Related: $50–80 per hourly lesson (includes lesson prep, in‑class time, after‑class homework grading, standard parent communication, etc.)
    • Business Operation Related: $20–25 per hour (non‑regular teaching duties such as project recruitment, event planning, student 1v1 support, etc.)
