Kindergarten Teacher Position

Anderson is looking for an experienced kindergarten teacher for the upcoming school year.

Job Description / Essential Elements:

Provide for adequate learning experiences within the framework of the prescribed curriculum.

Help each child in developing an understanding of himself leading to a positive self-concept and an awareness of the need for attitudes and actions which will result in good citizenship.

Provide planned learning experiences which will adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.

Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an effective learning environment.

Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, prepare progress reports and communicate with parents as needed on the individual pupil's progress.

Identify pupil's needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping to solve pupils' health, attitude and learning problems.

Create with pupil; involvement in a functional and attractive environment for learning.

Select and requisition books, instructional aids, and instructional supplies, and maintain appropriate inventory records.

Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the working day.

Participate in curriculum improvement and other developmental programs within the school assignment and/or on a district level.

Share in the responsibilities for school activities.

May plan and coordinate the work of student teachers and staff assistants.

Unless otherwise defined, are responsible to the school principal.

Follow district policies and regulations and the terms of the contract.

Qualifications:

Cover Letter, Resume, Three Current Signed Letters of Recommendation, Multiple Subject or PK-3 ECE Specialist Instruction Credential with English Learner Authorization

Comments and Other Information:

Moreland offers annual stipends for certificated employees who hold a Master's degree, national board certification, and special education credential. Moreland contributes to medical benefits in the following amounts annually for full-time certificated employees: $11,475 single, $19,055 two-party $24,072 family. Moreland also contributes to dental and vision benefits. Certificated employees are provided with a term life insurance policy of $2,000 at no cost.

Credentialed employees receive full credit for out-of-district experience in a comparable public school setting. Salary, stipends, and district contribution to benefits are pro-rated by FTE.
