About the Role
As a Part-Time Instructional Aide at Merryhill School, you will support classroom learning, student engagement, and the overall instructional environment. Working under the direction of a teacher or school leader, you will provide academic assistance, supervise students, and help maintain a structured, positive classroom setting that supports every child’s growth.
You will also:
Assist with classroom instruction and daily learning activities
Support the facilitation of routines and age-appropriate learning experiences
Help maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for students
Monitor and supervise students to ensure safety and positive behavior
Organize and maintain classroom materials, including cleaning and tidying learning areas
Participate in staff meetings, school events, and training sessions as needed
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferredMaturity, emotional stability, and a calm, supportive presence
Stamina to engage positively with students throughout the school day
Patient, flexible, dependable, and collaborative attitude
Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
Ability to accept supervision and implement feedback constructively
Recent teaching or classroom support experience is a plus
