Description

Get support from your dedicated Scoot Education Consultant who matches you to school assignments to align with your skills, experiences, and interests. Access 1:1 check-ins to discuss school feedback, general questions, training opportunities, and career planning. Many of our consultants have previous teaching experience and will share best practices and offer practical advice. They are just a phone call away for any questions or concerns.

Daily Pay Range: $32 - $38/hr pay varies for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements, by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements
  • Valid RBT Certification
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities
  • At least one year experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR
  • At least one year experience in a classroom/education setting
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
  • Three references with one by a previous direct supervisor
  • State and federal background checks, TB risk assessment or test

  • Any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
  • Passion for education and putting students first

What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classroom settings
  • Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as toileting, personal 1:1 care, non-verbal support, challenging or aggressive behaviors in the classroom
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
  • Be comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations
  • Sit, stand, and walk, and be able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
  • Observe and communicate across varied environments, including indoor and outdoor settings
  • Additional role requirements will be provided in the handbook and shared during the interview process
