Mentoring Position for Teacher Interns
Luther Burbank School District is establishing an eligibility pool of qualified educators to provide mentoring and instructional support to teacher interns enrolled in approved California educator preparation programs. This is a temporary and part-time certificated position. Assignments are made on an as-needed basis as teacher interns are hired by the District. Hours will vary depending on District needs, intern assignments, and program requirements, and are generally expected to average approximately four (4) hours per week per full-year intern assignment, consistent with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements.
District Support/Mentors provide individualized coaching, classroom support, and professional guidance to promote intern success while meeting California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements. This is a non-evaluative mentoring position focused on professional growth through coaching, collaboration, and reflective practice.
