Position OverviewThe Lurie College of Education has developed a 4-course series to fulfill the California CTC requirements for Computer Science Authorization. The adjunct faculty will teach these courses in a hybrid modality, ensuring all requirements are met:
- Demonstrate awareness of and experience with a diverse student population, utilizing inclusive materials and strategies.
- Organize all classes within Canvas LMS.
- Offer and meet classes as scheduled throughout the semester in the assigned mode (asynchronous, synchronous, hybrid, in-person).
- M.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings.
- Experience teaching computer science content to K-12 and college students.
- Experience developing professional development and academic courses in computer science education.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to multicultural educational goals, gained through cross-cultural study, training, or teaching experiences.
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience. Anticipated starting salary ranges from $5,507 to $10,347 per month, depending on the salary range (L-A to L-D). To apply, submit your CV, cover letter, and a list of 3-5 references via the SJSU online application system.
