Lecturers are expected to teach their courses effectively; maintain appropriate office hours in accordance with University Policy; and cooperate with the department in the peer‑review process. They should seek guidance from the Department Chair for clarification of university policies and department practices regarding grading, testing, textbooks, office hours, curriculum goals, disability accommodations, academic integrity, etc.
All faculty should organize their classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). Classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in‑person, or hybrid). Faculty must demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to a diverse student population and incorporate inclusive course materials and teaching strategies.
Required Qualifications- Ph.D. or Master’s degree with at least 5 years of significant and relevant professional experience in a STEM field.
- Knowledge of the subject matter of Data Science and Analytics.
- Evidence of satisfactory achievement in previous academic work.
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population.
Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to the order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and the California Faculty Association.
CompensationCompensation and salary range placement are determined by qualifications and experience.
Anticipated starting salary:
L‑A / Range 2 – $5,507 – $5,959
L‑B / Range 3 – $6,221 – $7,481
L‑C / Range 4 – $6,825 – $9,431
L‑D / Range 5 – $8,593 – $10,347
Monthly salaries reflect full‑time academic year rates. Part‑time rates are prorated.
