As an Experienced Solar Roof Lead
, you’ll work as part of a 3-person crew alongside licensed electricians to install residential solar energy systems safely, efficiently, and to Simply Solar’s high standards. You’ll take the lead on all roof-related work and help deliver top‑tier solar installations that power California homes.
- Read and interpret solar plan sets and layouts
- Install residential solar systems on various roof types
- Lead roof layouts and complete roof penetrations
- Ensure all racking is level, secure, and properly grounded
- Bend and run rooftop conduit for solar wiring
- Perform basic electrical connections (home runs, jumper wires, etc.)
- Manage roof‑top safety and fall protection in compliance with OSHA
- Install tilt kits, solar panels, and related components
- Represent Simply Solar with professionalism and a positive attitude
- 1.5+ years of solar installation or roofing experience (minimum)
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with battery systems or ground mounts (preferred)
- Crew leadership or training experience (a plus)
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment background check
