Development Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an ADAS - Characteristics Development Engineer for 12 month Contract job with a client in San Jose, CA 95134 (Onsite). Ideally, looking for applicants with a solid background in the Automobile industry is a must.

Rate Range: $80/hour to $90/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Define, test, and approve ADAS system characteristics with a focus on assisted driving, parking, and safety. This role involves vehicle testing, KPI evaluation, and close collaboration with global engineering teams.

• Define and maintain ADAS characteristics and KPIs for the US market
• Plan and execute on-road and proving-ground test drives
• Perform subjective and objective ADAS performance evaluations
• Set up and manage vehicle measurement and data acquisition systems
• Analyze results and report status to engineering leadership

• Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of vehicle architecture, networks, and ADAS systems
• Hands‑on experience with ADAS hardware and software
• Experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe)
• Familiarity with requirements tools (DOORS, Codebeamer, or similar)
• Valid US driver’s license (clean record)

• Experience with dGPS and IMU.

• Advanced degree preferred.

• Up to 30% domestic travel; limited international travel.
