Lab Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team and assist in the development of applications. This role involves preparing samples, performing analytical tests, recording data and observations, and preparing summaries of experiments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both manual and automated die bonding applications, troubleshooting basic process issues, optimizing parameters, and conducting failure analysis.
Responsibilities- Assist in applications development by preparing metal samples and performing analytical tests.
- Preform cross sectioning, optical microscope testing, and thermal conductivity.
- Record data and observations and prepare summaries of experiments.
- Troubleshoot basic process issues and escalate appropriately.
- Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis.
- Handle microscopic components using microscopes, tweezers, and vacuum tools.
- Document processes, conduct basic troubleshooting, and maintain repeatability and yield.
- Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- Background in materials testing, experience working with metals, QC background, and lab experience. Academic experience ok.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to log process data.
- Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
- Hands‑on approach with good time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, focus on process control, documentation, and maintaining quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus.
- Ability to stand, reach, use fine tools, and occasionally lift small weights or handle assemblies.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
