Role Summary

Minimum Skills- Typically industry experience in infrastructure
- Interest in obtaining a professional license
- Licentiate’s degree (Licenciatura) in Civil Engineering
- Exercises sound judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional and innovative work.
- Ability to work with multiple site base files oriented in different coordinate frames and varying units.
- Ability to read and understand topographic information.
- Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and cloud-based collaboration software (Google Apps, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, etc.)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Working Knowledge of Civil 3D
- Intermediate English
- Typically one to two years of experience in an infrastructure design firm
- Basic knowledge of civil design programs (Autodesk SSA, EpaNET, Water
CAD, HEC-RAS, HY8, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, QGIS, Bluebeam, Infra Works) - Basic knowledge of GIS principles
- Preferred career courses knowledge:
Road Design, Pavements, Hydraulics, Hydrology & Geotech. - B2-C1 English level
- Research, design, develop, and evaluate plans, specifications, and layouts for residential, commercial, and industrial development projects, public works improvements, or other capital improvement projects using applied knowledge of civil engineering
- Model alignments, profiles and corridors using Civil 3D
- Model Pipe networks in Civil 3D
- Prepare Earthworks and grading models
- Prepare hydraulic and hydrological models and reports for storm and sanitary sewers using AyA regulations
- Design naturally and physically built structures using knowledge of biology, statistics, dynamics, materials, kinematics, hydrology, hydraulics, and geotechnics
- Prepare technical reports, prepare and compile design specifications, and provide quantity takeoffs for budgets
- Assist civil engineers in the inspection and construction administration process
- Ensure projects comply with local zoning and ordinances, as well as national regulatory requirements
- Create and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Use drafting tools or computer-aided design (CAD) equipment and software in design work
