Supermicro is looking for talented and passionate Application Engineer who has in-depth knowledge in X86 server and networking solution, especially in switch products. You will be responsible in providing technical supports to our enterprise customers, promote internal switch products to provide optimize customer's networking solution. The ideal candidate must have strong technical background in networking switch product as well as exceptional communication skill -- ability to interface with all level of management staffs in professional manner.

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Perform motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing
• Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
• Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
• Document and analyze test data
• Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
• Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation
• Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 8+ years of working experience in hardware validation environment
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture
• Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
• Strong sense of teamwork and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing
• Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus

$110,000 - $145,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
