A leading electrical construction and design firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong union electrical construction background. This role manages commercial and industrial electrical projects from planning through completion. You’ll oversee budgets, scheduling, field coordination, materials, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with 3+ years of project management experience in the electrical field who can take full ownership of mid‑to‑large scale projects and work confidently with field teams, vendors, contractors, and senior leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing- Plan and manage project activities, including labor, materials, budgets, and schedules.
- Serve as the main point of contact for general contractors, owners, and clients.
- Prepare and track RFIs, change orders
, and required project documentation. - Oversee financials: budgets, purchase orders, subcontracts, invoices, and billing.
- Procure materials and maintain tracking logs to ensure timely delivery.
- Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings with internal and external teams.
- Coordinate schedules with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors
. - Support design/build projects and collaborate with internal design teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships and address issues quickly and professionally.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
. - Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Direct experience managing union electrical construction projects.
- Experience managing commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- 3–5+ years as a Project Manager in the electrical field.
- Experience with estimating, cost control, procurement, and scheduling.
- Understanding of electrical power and lighting systems
. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam
. - Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering
, or similar preferred. - 3+ years of experience in electrical construction as a Field Engineer, Estimator, or PM.
- Fully onsite role based in San Jose.
- Mix of office work and active job site visits.
- Ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs in construction environments.
