Principal Engineer

Position Overview

Principal Engineer to work on Micron’s SSD Enterprise ASIC development, pre‑ and post‑silicon prototyping and validation. Focus on Synopsys HAPs flow, PCIe Gen5/Gen6, LPDDR4/5, ARC CPU bring‑up, and related hardware/software integration. The role includes debugging, automation of validation flows, and collaboration with design and firmware teams.

• Perform Synopsys HAPs pre‑silicon ASIC prototyping flow – expert implementation and debugging.
• Support SSD Enterprise ASIC development, bring‑up and validation with PCIe Gen5 & Gen6, LPDDR4/5, ARC HS/EM CPU.
• Execute pre and post‑silicon ASIC validation flow automation to reduce time to firmware handoff.
• Provide support for LPDDR4/5 interface bring‑up, working with Cadence Design Systems to develop application driver for address/data levelling.
• Collaborate with Synopsys for ARC CPU bring‑up in ASIC and debug issues with the US team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in a similar engineering role.
• Experience with Synopsys HAPs prototyping platform.
• Experience with Xilinx/Altera FPGAs.
• System‑level debugging skill.
• Hardware and software interaction knowledge.
• Software development capability.
• Proficiency using oscilloscope and logic analyzer.
