Lyten is looking for a Jr Buyer Intern who will ensure alignment of supply chain of manufactured parts, assemblies, weldments, and commercial components with Engineering project schedules for accurate communication with various departments on project status.
Responsibilities- Onboarding new suppliers as needed
- Send out Request for Quotes (RFQ) to suppliers to identify best price and lead time.
- Place and manage Purchase Orders (POs), confirming and tracking delivery dates.
- Expedite late deliveries and keep the ERP system updated with current supplier delivery dates and supplier notes.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team on special projects and process improvements.
- Completion of Sophomore year Business Administration or Supply Chain
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Eager to learn in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Strong willingness to learn and be a team player.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to work with other employees and vendors.
- Able to lift 20-30 lbs.
- Able to stand for up to 5 hours
Expected base salary range: $25.00 - $32.00 USD per hour. Salary within this range is based on location, experience, education, and relevant skills. Additional compensation includes tier‑based bonus, equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401(k), and an employee relocation plan (if applicable).
