Opportunity OverviewThe Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is looking for a highly‑motivated, energetic, technically driven Engineer to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Semiconductor Test Products. This role is based in San Jose, CA for Teradyne Memory Division – Nextest.
- Be recognized as a subject matter expert across a wide range of new and existing Teradyne Magnum platforms.
- Provide timely and accurate support to field organizations in response to a wide array of customer issues.
- Identify opportunities to use technology to improve the way that we deliver support to our customers.
- Engage with the Product Development process to influence and prepare new products for successful deployment to the field, with a focus on documentation and manual creation.
- Develop support and training documentation and manuals for field installations and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct training to spread knowledge to all field service engineers worldwide.
- BS in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical engineering and demonstrated desire to be a practicing engineer.
- 3–7 years of experience with semiconductor testing.
- Experience with Design for Serviceability and Reliability.
- Strong communication, organizational and multi‑tasking ability.
- Strong writing and technical editing skills; preferred previous experience writing technical procedures and documentation.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Team player, self‑motivated, and "hands‑on".
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $93,900 – $150,200, based on experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive PlanThis job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
