Application Engineering Intern

Lyten is a super material applications company unleashing extraordinary possibilities in our journey to net zero and beyond. Our people are the experts behind Lyten 3D Graphene, a novel decarbonization super material with the potential to disrupt, transform, and enhance nearly every industry on Earth.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Application Engineering Intern to join our team. The Application Engineering team is developing AI tools to capture knowledge of Lyten 3DG fabrication to accelerate our progress to reproducible, scalable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Advanced Engineering team members to utilize AI assistants to construct tools for Lyten 3DG manufacturing-specific models
  • Data & Analysis:
    Gather, organize, and analyze data to help build AI models
  • Final Presentation:
    Capsule your internship experience by presenting a demo to the team at the conclusion of the program and document code and learnings
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a university engineering degree program; no degree required
  • Strong foundational skills in Python, PyTorch, Claude, Notebook

    LM, and machine learning fundamentals preferred
  • Highly organized with the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
  • A positive, can-do attitude and ability to communicate professionally
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time
Compensations

The expected base salary range for this position is between $25.00 - $32.00 per hour. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier‑based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401(k), and an employee relocation plan if applicable.
