We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support cell design and engineering development activities within a fast-paced R&D environment. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support experimental activities, data collection, analysis, documentation, and process improvement initiatives related to cell design efforts. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering experimentation, product development, manufacturing support, and technical problem-solving within an advanced battery technology environment.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Support cell design and engineering development activities
* Assist with sample preparation, testing, and data collection
* Organize and maintain experimental records and datasets
* Help document observations, results, and technical findings
* Generate summary charts, reports, and basic data analysis
* Support engineers with process tracking and troubleshooting activities
* Maintain clear documentation and follow laboratory and safety procedures
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
* Strong interest in cell design, battery technology, and engineering development
* Experience with laboratory work, testing, or data analysis
* Familiarity with engineering tools such as Excel, Python, JMP or similar
* Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
** Preferred Skills
*** Attention to detail and strong documentation practices
* Basic statistical or experimental analysis experience
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
* Hands-on engineering or laboratory experience preferred
** Compensations Range:
** The expected base salary range for this position is between $25.00 - $32.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
