Position OverviewWe’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex medical systems, including electrical, embedded software, and electromechanical components. This role provides technical leadership across the full product lifecycle, from concept through manufacturing, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with global regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do Technical Leadership & System Architecture- Lead design decisions for electrical, embedded, and electromechanical systems
- Define system architecture, interfaces, and technology strategy
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and drive design improvements
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners; select and qualify components and vendors
- Design and develop electrical systems, including circuit design, component selection, and PCB schematics/layouts
- Integrate hardware, embedded software, and mechanical subsystems
- Build, test, and iterate on prototypes
- Ensure development aligns with FDA, ISO, MDR, and other regulatory requirements
- Develop and execute verification & validation (V&V) plans and test methods
- Support regulatory testing and product compliance activities
- Contribute to risk management processes (FMEA, hazard analysis)
- Support design transfer, pilot builds, and early production
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve yield
Develop test tools, fixtures, and processes to support manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally in medical devices or another regulated industry
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, clinical, and cross‑functional teams
- Proven problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills
- Deep understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (circuit design, reliability, manufacturability)
- Experience with EDA/eCAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Hands‑on experience integrating hardware and embedded software systems
- Ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers
- Ability to support live clinical or procedural cases in the field
- Hands‑on prototyping and debugging skills (soldering, bench testing)
- Experience with microcontrollers, programmable logic, and embedded development
- Programming experience (C, Python, or similar)
