Process Engineer responsible for optimizing operations under the guidance of our Engineering Manager. Focus on Statistical Process Control, first pass yields, and cost improvements.
What will you be doing?- Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices
- Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes
- Determine root causes for out-of-control products as well as other product failures and follow through with corrective actions
- Prepare periodic statistical reports to customers and ensure timely submission of such reports
- Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) and ensure timely closeout, root cause analysis, corrective action resolution, and minimization of repeats
- Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes, including work on Corrective Action Request (CAR)
- Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products
- Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems
- Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes to ensure maximum process safety
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
- 3+ years experience in a process engineering role
- Exposure and training in Continuous Improvement Methodology (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt)
